Temper Tantrums
Temper Tantrums
All people young and old have temper tantrums, its a fact of life. A teenage temper tantrum usually consists of stomping off, heavy walking, and slamming the bedroom door. Parents don’t fret let the teenager cool down and then sit with them and find out what upset them. The teenager will get over it fairly quickly and will move on.
The toddler on the other hand is a completely different ball game to which he knows the rules and doesn’t share them with you. toddler tantrums vary in degree of escalation, from simple crying to full blown screeching, simple stomping of the feet to full blown thrashing around on the floor. Whatever the level it is hard on the parents who just want to fix whatever could be bothering the toddler. Persevere parents and hold onto your toddler assure them you will fix whatever the matter is. Parents of toddlers are just like detectives looking for clues and signs to what the toddler needs may be in order to restore peace and sanity back into the day. Does he need a bottle? does she need a diaper change? is it lunch time? Snack time? Nap time? did their favorite tv show just go off? did his favorite toy get misplaced? or is it simply that he is not feeling well and needs to cuddle with mama and his favorite blankie until he falls off to sleep. Whatever is needed is what a parent will do to ease away the tantrum.
